India’s 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh got engaged to his girlfriend Hazel Keech in a surprise engagement ceremony in Bali on Wednesday. Yuvraj, who is currently out of the Indian set-up, plans on getting married by February 2016, according to reports. Yuvraj and Hazel have been dating for the last three months, but were able to maintain their distance from the media.
Few days ago we reported that Yuvi hinted about his marriage on microblogging site Twitter during a conversation with Harbhajan Singh. Hazel Keech is a former Bigg Boss contestant. She portrayed the role of Kareena Kapoor’s best friend and Salman Khan’s wife in ‘Bodyguard’. Yuvraj and Hazel attended Harbhajan and UK-born Bollywood actress Geeta Basra’s reception in Delhi and attracted a lot of attention at the party in five-star hotel.
Both Yuvraj and Hazel were dating each other since a long time and the two had kept their relationship status under wraps to avoid unwanted attention. Father Yograj Singh believes that Yuvraj’s marriage to Hazel will change his son’s fortunes and he will return to the national fold. Yograj, impressed by his son’s choice, feels Yuvraj will definitely make a comeback to the national team. “I was introduced to her by Yuvraj and she is a very nice girl. I am confident that marrying her will change his fortunes and he will return to the national squad,” Yograj said. Yuvraj has earlier been linked to Bollywood actress Kim Sharma and was later reportedly involved with Deepika Padukone in early 2008.
