Today Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in a video message assures people about the commencement of Corona vaccination for the 18+ people from tomorrow, 1st May.
On Gujarat Foundation Day, in 10 most-affected districts and will cover the entire State as soon as the vaccine availability increases.
From 1st May Gujarat Formation Day, state government will provide free vaccines to youth above 18 years of age in 10 districts of the state. Announcing this, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that with help of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Central Government, vaccination of youth is being started in Gujarat from tomorrow. Gujarat Chief Minister Rupani said that state government is making efforts to start vaccination as soon as possible to ensure that the youth of Gujarat above the age of 18 years are protected against Corona. Gujarat has placed orders for 2.5 crore vaccine doses to indigenous vaccine manufacturers in India.
Gujarat government is constantly consulting these two companies to get more and more vaccine doses. By this evening, 3 lakh vaccine doses will be available to Gujarat by air and from tomorrow, vaccination of youth will be launched in 10 districts. Rupani said that in 10 districts where Corona infection is high – Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Kutch, Mehsana, Bharuch and Gandhinagar tomorrow, on the formation day of Gujarat, state government Will provide free vaccines.
Vijay Rupani said that Gujarat will get 11 lakh doses of vaccine during the month of May. State government is working hard to achieve even more. As vaccine becomes available, youth vaccination will be phased out in more and more districts. Fourth phase of vaccination in the age group of 18 to 44 is starting across the country from tomorrow.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani clarified that out of the youths who have registered Online on the portal cowin.gov.in, only the youths of these ten districts will get SMS, and they will have to go to the center on the scheduled date, place and time mentioned in the SMS . Online registration is mandatory for vaccination. There is no on-site registration so only those who have registered Online and have received an SMS will go for the vaccine.
Vaccination is going on very smoothly in Gujarat. Therefore, it remains to be seen that there will be no disturbance in this operation. At the time of this announcement of Chief Minister, principal secretary of the health department, Dr. Jayanti Ravi, Secretary to Chief Minister Ashwini Kumar, Health Commissioner Jai Prakash Shivhare and Mission Director of National Health Mission, Gujarat and State Nodal Officer for Covid Vaccination Mukesh Pandya were present.
