Ahmedabad: A woman journalist of a private news channel has been accused of misbehaving with Civil Hospital guard. Bouncers’ bollish behaviour with a female reporter of a a leading news channel is captured live on camera. Engaging of bouncers in Civil Hospital has also been questioned several times.
Employees in a government organization do not respond to the public. When public wants an answer to a question, Bouncers are called and man handling is done. A woman journalist who went to cover a similar incident was then ill treated. The woman journalist was stopped by security from covering. Another dictatorial incident of suppressing the truth by brute force has come up in Ahmedabad.
Attack on media is attack on democracy, a woman journalist was attacked reluctantly in an attempt to show the truth. Attack on a woman journalist at a civil hospital was reported to a health reporter from another news channel covering Resident Doctors’ strike. They immediately left coverage of Resident Doctor’s strike and reached to woman journalist who was the victim of Bouncers. Where media stood unitedly against security at the hospital and forced immediately Civil Hospital management to take action. Management was forced to take action against culprits. The incident in Civil Hospital has far reaching repercussions in the media world. Sad thing is that a new order has been issued for media to seek written permission by Security head of Civil Hospital.
On the incident, Superintendent of Civil Hospital Ahmedabad clarified that security agency has been warned about the incident and asked to transfer the security staff. He also said that it is unfortunate that level of security staff was not adequate to properly behave with media.
