Western Railways are continuously conducting intensive ticket checking campaigns to curb Mumbai suburban local trains, mail/express as well as passenger trains and holiday special trains to ensure comfortable travels and better services.
Several ticket investigation campaigns were conducted on Western Railways from April, 2024 to January, 2025, receiving Rs 117.54 crore, including Rs 38.10 crore received from the Mumbai suburban section.
Western Railways appeals to the general public to always travel with reasonable and valid tickets.
