24 students felicitated for outstanding achievement
Ahmedabad, July 04, 2022: Visamo Kids Foundation run by Kalorex Group observed its 19th Scholarship Day event on Sunday at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) in Ahmedabad. Visamo Kids is a shelter home for underprivileged children from remote rural areas from across Gujarat. Some 24 students were felicitated for their outstanding academic achievements.
Ms. Mittal Patel, Founder, VichartaSamudaySamarthan Manch (VSSM), an NGO working with denotified tribes of Gujarat, remained present as the guest of honour along with Ms. Gopi Trivedi, senior partner and head of patent division, YJ Trivedi and Co. and Ms. Uma Teraiya, trainer, motivational speaker and author.
Hailing the initiative of Visamo Kids Foundation to support education of underprivileged children, Ms. Patel said, “You have gifted an exemplary childhood to your children by trusting them with Visamo Kids Foundation.”
Some 250 people attended the event including children and their parents. The event saw participation of the chairperson as well as senior members of Visamo Task Group (VTG) and interns from Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), volunteering at Visamo Kids Foundation.
The entire event was managed by senior kids of VKF. Emotions ran high as the day ended with five students who completed their entire schooling from class 1-12, receiving a teary-eyed farewell. The kids expressed their joy and diverse experiences of growing up at Visamo Kids, and how this experience has helped them shape their identities through education and holistic learning.
