Timor Leste is eager to take advantage said President Mr. Jose Ramozorta
Today Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel met with the President of Democratic Republic of Timor Leste, Mr. Jose Ramozorta, who has participated as a partner country in Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2024, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. India and Timor Leste have had strong diplomatic relations since the beginning. The meeting was becoming important in the context of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had recently announced establishment of Indian Embassy in Dili, the capital of Timor Leste.
Chief Minister Patel had expressed hope that the participation of Democratic Republic of Timor Leste in Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2024 will take India-Gujarat-Timor Leste relations to new heights. Mr. Jose Ramozorta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, also said that his nation is keen to take advantage of the potential of a development role model state like Gujarat.
Chief Secretary Shri Rajkumar, Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri K. Kaisnathan Senior officials attended the meeting.
