Today in Gandhinagar, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu visited Gujarat to assess on situation of hailstrom affected farmers of Gujarat. Naidu briefed about the crop damage caused by hailstorm in a high level meeting with Gujarat state officials including Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Saurabh Patel and Babubhai Bokhiriya. Venkaiah assured of farmer oriented policy in majority cases for aid from the center. States will be aided from Calamity Relief Fund and long term policy benefitting farmers will be devised. Naidu appealed to extend maximum support to farmers.
