Today in Ahmedabad, Vasna barrage 4 gates of Sabarmati river opened 3000 cusec water was released. As a precaution, people from low lying areas were alerted to move to safer places. Two gates of the barrage were opened upto 1 feet and other two gates were opened upto half feet. 3016 cusec water being released from the barrage.
Present water level at the barrage of 135.50 feet will be lowered and brought to 130 feet. Water level in Sabarmati river was reduced to rain in most parts of Gujarat.
