Vadodara: 10 lakhs looted from 6 ATMs in one night

Last night, Thieves strike at 6 ATMs in Vadodara, loot more than Rs.10 lakhs. 6 ATMs were broken despite of night patrolling by Vadodara police.

6 ATMs including Bank of Baroda (at Ajwa Road), SBI (at Tarsali), HDFC (at Tarsali) and ICICI (at Manjalpur opposite to Eva Mall) were broken in one night. Cash Box cut and stolen away in night robbery. CCTV cameras were also open.

All ATMs were break open using gas cutters by robbers.

It is believed that Robbers Gang might have targetted or looted more ATMs in the city.

At all 4 ATMs which were looted did not have Security Guard at the ATM. Gang has brokens such ATMs which are linked with highways.

It is learnt that Gang might have done rekki before conducting robbery and had pre-hand information.

In Vadodara, high level of police officials meeting including Crime Branch, SOG, PCB and others to get clue about gang.

Police checking along roads connecting to highways have been intensified.

Help of FSL team is being taken and sleuths are being traced based on finger prints at ATMs.
