Ahmedabad city will be the first city of India to be listed as World Heritage City. AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is preparing towards Ahmedabad city to be listed as World Heritage City. Tomorrow, a team comprising of 6 members of UNESCO to visit Ahmedabad for inspection of propsed site. A Dozier prepared by CEPT was sent to UNESCO before 3 months. AMC authorities is specially taking care of cleanliness of architectural monuments listed in dozier. UNESCO team will visit Heritage Houses, Havelis, Bird Feeder, Rani No Hajiro etc places. AMC teams will spend around Rs 37 lakhs towards hospitality of UNESCO team. AMC will try to meet criteria and get approval for Ahmedabad as a World Heritage City.
