U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai and the University of Notre Dame hosted Webinar on Feb 8 – Supporting LGBTQI+ Communities on Campus

To facilitate greater diversity, equity, and inclusion at Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai and the University of Notre Dame bring you “Supporting LGBTQI+ Communities on Campus,” a free online discussion that will enable HEIs to learn best practices to create safe spaces and campuses that are supportive of the LGBTQI+ community. The event will offer insight into how HEIs can be more inclusive of faculty, staff, and students from the LGBTQI+ community and how allies can speak up to strengthen acceptance of the community on campuses. Faculty, teachers, professors, and senior administrators from Indian schools, colleges, and universities are invited to participate in this virtual event, which will feature opening remarks by Deputy Consul General Scott Ticknor and input from experts in the field.
