Three doctors detained in Rajkot Hospital fire tradegy

Today in Rajkot Uday Shivandan Hospital fire case, Rajkot police detained three accused doctors Dr. Prakash Modha, Dr. Tejas Karmata and Dr. Vishal Modhani, all three accused were detained after they were tested Coronavirus negative. Emergency exit door of ICU obstructed by machinery kept on second floor, several other fire safety violations were found during the investigation into the Rajkot hospital fire incident.

The initial probe by SIT Special Investigation Team has found that the fire was a result of negligence. SIT has filed a case against five doctors and is investigating the matter further.

Lack of ventilation in the ICU led to the smoke getting trapped in the ICU. The only exit from the hospital floor in case of an emergency was a 4 feet wide staircase.
