Uber, the ridesharing app that is redefining urban mobility across the world, is all set to delight riders on it’s second anniversary in the diamond city of India, Surat, with a first of its kind on-demand, UberDIAMOND. As a part of this on-demand, Uber has tied up with Cygnus Jewellery to offer riders a chance to win exquisite diamond jewellery worth Rs. 35,000 and 100 jewellery discount vouchers.
“We are always working on innovative hyper local initiatives, designed to celebrate the cultural nuances of the cities that we serve and as we celebrate two years in the city, we wanted to do something really special for our riders. Given that Surat, the “Diamond City” handles 90% of the world’s rough diamond cutting and polishing, we decided to partner with Cygnus Jewellery,to offer our riders a chance to win diamonds,” said Sunny Sapra, General Manager, Uber Gujarat.
Things to remember:
● A diamond is now available at the push of a button. All one needs to do is select the UberDIAMOND option while on the Uber App on on 23rd June, 2017, between 11AM to 2PM and hit request.
● Once connected, Uber drivers will make their way to the lucky users with their gifts.
● While 100 people will win jewellery discount vouchers, there will be 1 Super Lucky Rider who will win a Diamond Jewellery worth Rs. 35,000.
● A user who books an UberDIAMOND must ensure they have their ids with them for verification purposes. The winner of the diamond jewellery will be selected at random out of the 100 discount voucher winners and will be declared on the same day.
