After ban of currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 by government recently, one Junior Clerk Vadiwala of Surat ST Depo manipulated upto Rs 5 to 6 lakhs available in old currency of Rs 500 and 1000 notes with cash of ST Nigam deposited in the locker having currency notes of Rs 50 and 100.
On knowing the incident, ST Nigam authorities were on run. CCTV footage confirms about the incident. However, they are trying to protect their staff.
