Today Apex court has stayed allotment of Nitibag plots to Judges in Ahmedanad, Gujarat High Court bench served notices to 27 judges and other government agencies including High Court Registrar, Gujarat government on a petition alleging misappropriations. One the Judges who were served with notice by Gujarat High Court have filed petition in Supreme Court. Hearing in Supreme Court was made before Chief Justice who stayed in the plot allotment case of Ahmedabad. Judgement in the case will be held after 3 weeks.
The PIL of plot allotment to Judges, in Gujarat High Court was referred to larger bench of Justice Mohinder Pal, Justice Pardiwala and Justice Haresh Upadhyay, due to personal reasons Justice Pardiwala said “Not Before Me” in the matter. Formation of new bench is likely by tomorrow.
