Supreme Court acquitted all 11 accused of 1993 Surat bomb of January 21, 1993 blast case took place at Varachha road . On second day also another blast took place at Surat railway station platform number 1 targeting the Gujarat Express train in which 38 passengers were injured.In Surat blast case, one woman named Alpa Patel was killed and many others were injured. A bench of two justice, namely, Justice TS Thakur and Justice C Nagappam acquitted all 11 accused and reversed a TADA court verdict that had sentenced them to jail from 10 to 20 years.
