Stipend of more than Rs 1 lakh is given to resident doctors in Gujarat. Instead of three years bond in other states as against one year bond in Gujarat. Against Rs 40,000 to Rs 70,000 stipend in many states in India, more than Rs 1 lakh stipend is given to doctors in Gujarat. It looks there is a plan to suppress state government by striking in the name of 40 percent increase in stipend. Duty of Police and fire department is also considered as Essential Services like doctors
