Statue of Unity to be ready by 31st October says Gujarat Chief Secretary
Today in Narmada district, site inspection on progress of ‘Statue of Unity’ by Dr Jagdip Narayan Singh, Chief Secretary of Gujarat.
A team led by Gujarat Chief Secretary inspected the site and monitored its progress.
While talking to media he was satisfied about the progress of Statue of Unity and said that It will be completed by 31st October.
Chief Secretary Singh said that we are seeking help from national archeology department in building a Museum at the site. Work on external cladding is swiftly progress along with internal work.
Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue. The monument, is dedicated to Sardar Patel. It is 182 metres (597 feet) high and is being built near the Sardar Sarovar dam in Narmada district of Gujarat,
It is to be located in front of Narmada Dam, 3.2 kms away on the river island called Sadhu Bet near Vadodara.
