Special CBI Court rejects bail of Godhra NEET paper leak accused

Special CBI court has rejected  regular bail plea of Dixit Patel, accused principal and trustee of Jay Jalaram School of Godhra,. Dixit was arrested by the CBI in connection with NEET paper leak scam. The court, in view of  gravious crime, outright rejected bail to the accused. The court observed, “This is a serious crime under investigation, and therefore, it would not be appropriate to grant bail to the accused at this stage.”After the NEET paper leak scam exposure, a complaint was filed against the accused in Godhra police station. Later central investigating agency CBI  took over the investigation, added corruption charges. Accused Patel was arrested along with other parties. In response to  accused’s regular bail plea, CBI informed the court, “Documents pertaining to irregularities in the examination have been found from other witnesses in the entire scam. Probe is going on about these documents and witnesses indulged in the scam.”

In the investigation, it was also found that the accused was in touch with suspects from other states in the NEET scandal.“The accused is a principal and trustee and has an active role in the crime. The interrogations conducted by CBI have unravelled important facts in the case, and he is well cognisant of this. There is a strong possibility that he would influence the witnesses or destroy the evidence once released. Therefore, if he is granted bail, it is likely to adversely affect the investigation,” the CBI argued. Court accepted these arguments and rejected the accused’s bail plea.
