Sonakshi Sinha may be the second Indian actress to romance Pakistan’s Fawad Khan in a Bollywood film. The idea of Fawad and Sonakshi together in a film is somewhat weird as theirs will yet again be a fresh pair on screen. If the latest report is anything to go by, then Shotgun junior will be paired opposite India’s latest heartthrob from across the border in a film based on poet-writer Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhyanvi’s lives.Their untitled next is a love story from the 1940s where a poet and budding lyricist met and fell in love with a beautiful woman.The film makers first considered Gunday co-actors Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor for the role.
However, it seems that the story didnt leave a gripping imapct on the two actors and hence, the makers have decided to cast Sonakshi Sinha and Fawad Khan as the lead protagonists for the romantic film. Sonakshi, who is on a promotional spree since her film Action Jackson is set to hit the silver screens this week, will play Amrita and Fawad, who made his Bollywood debut with Khoobsurat, will be seen essaying the role of Sonakshi’s husband Imroze. But the team is on the lookout to cast someone as the male lead. And we hear talks are on with Arjun Kapoor to come on board and play the role of Sahir Ludhianvi in the film. It will be interesting to see if Fawad and Sona’s chemistry succeeds in creating magic on screen.
