Shivanand Jha appointed as new DGP of Gujarat

Today 1983 batch IPS Shivanand Jha was appointed as new DGP Director General of Police and IGP of Gujarat by a notification issued by Gujarat home department today.

Formerly,  was Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad and Surat.

Jha was a member of the Supreme Court-appointed  SIT Special Investigation Team in 2002 riots case.
