Today on the occasion of the 146th historic Rath Yatra festival at famus Jagannath temple at Ahmedabad city Shri Shaktisinh Gohil, President of GPCC Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, Leader of Assembly Congress Party Shri Amit Chavda, Deputy Leader Shri Shailesh Parmar, Former GPCC President Shri Jagdish Thakor, Shri Bharatsinh Solanki, Siddharth Patel Senior Congress leaders offered prayers at Lord Jagannath for growth of Gujarat along with well-being of the citizens of Gujarat and then the ritual of Rath Yatra was performed by newly appointed Congress President Shri Shaktisinh Gohil and senior leaders.
After darshan of Lord Jagannath and worshiping holy chariot, praying for well-being, growth of citizens of the state, Rajya Sabha MP and President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee Shri Shaktisinh Gohil said that today he has done darshan to get the blessings for his new responsibility. He also sought blessings of getting a chance to work not only for power but also for the people. The public should also help in doing the yagna of this service.
Due to the cyclone and unseasonal rains in the state, there has been a huge loss of life and property in many districts. BJP government should help the citizens including farmers, fishermen, small shopkeepers by announcing financial compensation for the loss. When citizens of the state are suffering from problems like inflation and unemployment.
