Today in Gandhinagar, Shanker Chaudhary health minister announced Gujarat government’s new Health Policy.
Minister informed that state would provide amenities like land and financial aid in setting up new medical college based on PPP model in backward and Adivasi areas of Tapi, Vyara, Bharuch, Panchmahal, Dahod, Amreli and Banaskanatha. Rs 15 lahs per seat will e aided and total seats will be raised upto 5000.
Government will help in setting up hospital with 300 beds associated with medical college. Human Resource will be provided by government. Treatment to patients will be given at reasonable rate by government. Land for college will be given on lease.
