Today, Bolywood actress and social activist Shabana Azmi jetted visits Ahmedabad for a play “Kaifi Aur Main”.
Shabana recalled her sweet memories with her father Kaifi Azmi, who told her to be number one, even if you become shoe maker.
Shabana twitted “Off to Ahmedabad for show of Kaifi Aur Main this eve. Am going to stuff my face with yummy Gujju khana,” Shabana tweeted on Saturday.
“Kaifi Aur Main” a play based on renowned Urdu poet and film lyricist Kaifi Azmi’s life and works, seen through the eyes of his wife – noted theatre and film actress, Shaukat Kaifi. It is directed by Ramesh Talwar.
It has been brought to life by Kaifi Azmi’s daughter Shabana Azmi and son-in-law Javed Akhtar.
Javed Akhtar liked Ahmedabad very much. He shared how he was renamed from Jaadu to Javed. After popularity of school days poem of Javed, he was given name of Javed by his father from Jaadu.
