Today, during late morning session BSE maintained upward trend with Sensex rising to 25,619.50, with a gain of 223.04 points, due to heavy buying in capital goods, realty, power, metal, consumer durables and banking sector stocks amidst firm Asian cues.
Following BSE, NSE 50-share Nifty also rose up by 76.55 points, to touch a fresh record of 7,659.95 at 1100 hours.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1,283.
