It has been decided to provide separate facilities for health related services for senior citizens, persons above 60 years of age at all medical college affiliated hospitals, district hospitals and health centers of Gujarat so that the senior citizens of the state can get health related facilities promptly.
Facilities for elderly persons at Government Hospitals, Medical College Affiliated Hospitals, Sub-District Hospitals, Community Health Centers and Corporation-owned Urban Health Centers and Hospitals for elderly persons , 60 years and above as mentioned in the list of Health Department.
Separate lines will be made at all government hospitals and health centers like OPD, Cash Window, Physiotherapy Center, Laboratory, medicine counter etc. to avoid any difficulty for elderly persons in which they will also be given priority. Separate OPD system will be established in such places.
