Today in Gandhinagar, Gujarat government has announced its new Information Technology(IT) and Information Technology Enabled Service(ITES) policy. Gujarat intends to raise investment in IT/ITES based services in Gujarat by tenfold.
Saurabh Patel, Finance Minister of Gujarat while announcing the policy said that Gujarat government plans to achieve 15 million USD turnover of IT/ITES industry in Gujarat and USD 2 billion IT export. With announcement of new IT/ITES policy Gujarat government wants to generate direct employment for 1 million youth. Towards promoting new policy and boost IT sector, Government has announced capital subsidy, discount on stamp duty and registration fee for land/office, incentives in capital expenditure, power tariff, VAT and electricity for IT/ITES industry.
