Residents from Jodhpur area, which is a ward of Ahmedabad Mayor, Minakshiben Patel were seen protesting in Jodhpur area in front of City Civic Centre. Jodhpur residents have complain that they have been burdened with as much as 70 % increase in property tax by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation,AMC. Residents from Jodhpur and Satellite areas have jointly protested against AMC’s tax hike, asking the question,Acche Din KI Shuruaat Ho Gayi?”
Today, more residents from adjoining area of Satellite, supported by local shop keepers have also announced self declared bandh.
