After submission of resignation by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and acceptance of it by BJP high command, today formal submission of her resignation to Gujarat Governor OP Kohli, now the entire focus is on speculating the name of Anandiben Patel’s successor in Gujarat. Amidst hot rumours on likely names of Gujarat CM including Amit Shah, Nitin Patel, Vijay Rupani, Parshottam Rupala and Saurabh Patel. Some of the likely candidates have maintained suspense and claimed of not being in the race of CMship.
As a new development, BJP high command has appointed Nitin Gadkari and Saroj Pande as their Observer who will go to Gandhinagar and meet BJP MLAs and seek their opinion, the meeting will be presided over by BJP national president Amit Shah.
Saroj Pandey is a new entry and new face to people of Gujarat, above popular faces of Nitin Gadkari and Amit Shah of BJP. Even Saroj Pande would be a surprise for BJP MLAs. Saroj is Lok Sabha’s elected member from Durg of Chhatisgarh. Saroj Pande is obviously glamours and 48 years of age. She does not have any political background. She started her political career as a Corporator in Durg, she remained Mayor of Durg for 2 consecutive terms from 1999 to 2009. Due to her aggressive nature, in 2008 she was made national president of BJP ‘s women wing.
In 2008, Saroj Pandey was elected from Vaishalinagar constituency. In 2009 when she was elected she Mayor of Durg and MP. Saroj Pandey holds record of attaining three posts of Mayor, MLA andMP together. Saroj Pandey holds record in Guinness Book of World Records also.
