Due to heavy rains in upstream of Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh, water inflow in Sardar Sarovar Dam has increased. With 200 to 400 mm in Madhya Pradesh water level has risen. Water level of dam has risen by 2 meters in 48 hours. Narmada dam level remains at 116.91 meters. Water can still go up by 5 meters. Narmada water river level has risen due to heavy rains of 200 mm in Hoshangabad, 150 mm in Bargi dam and 100 mm in Tava Dam. Water influx of 18,665 cusec has been recorded at Garudeshwar. Narmada water level recorded of 13.564 meters at Garudeshwar. With water influx in Narmada 4 electricity units number 1,2,3 &4 of Canal Head Power House (CHPH) have been turned on, which were kept on for 77.15 hours. 2238 megawatts of electricity has been produced out of it.
