Covid Care Center setup at Sant Kabir Hospital will be a boon for poor and middle class people said Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja
Number of Covid beds in Gujarat has reached 1,00,000
Today while inaugurating Sant Kabir Covid Care Center in Sarsapur area of Ahmedabad, Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja said that Gujarat is committed to achieve victory against Covid epidemic. Giving details of a number of steps being taken by Gujarat government to control spread of Covid Care Center on the occasion of its inauguration, he said that only 4,000 beds were available in the state on March 15, which has increased to 1,00,000 today. Thus, state government is making all possible efforts to provide health facilities to its citizens. Pradipsinh said that this isolation center will be a boon for poor and middle class patients with common symptoms of Corona. Sant Kabir Covid Care Center has been provided facility of 30 oxygen beds and 20 common beds. The hospital will be staffed round the clock by doctors, nursing staff and Corona patients. All meal arrangements will be provided to patients undergoing treatment, he added. Appreciating the cooperation of society in combating Covid epidemic, State Home Affairs said that due to sincere efforts of social activits and people in society we have been able to control Corona.
More than 2,00,000 medical staff (including doctors, nurses, para-medical staff) are working 24X7 in the state to ensure that people of Gujarat do not lack in health facilities. Minister jadeja said that state government and AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation have devised a strategy of Covid management with the help of government and private hospitals due to big increase in Covid cases in Ahmedabad city. 11 government hospitals have been designated as Covid hospitals In which the number of beds is more than 5,000. In addition, 171 private hospitals have been appointed as Covid hospitals In which the number of beds has reached – 7.706. He added that additional beds are being added to these hospitals. The Minister congratulated Mahesh Singh Kushwaha, a community leader and Dinesh Singh Kushwaha, Municipal Councilor of Saraspur Ward for their joint efforts in launch of Sant Kabir Covid Care Center.
Ahmedabad City Mayor Kiritbhai Parmar, Deputy Mayor Gitaben, Chairman of Standing Committee , Bhaskar Bhatt and other leaders were present on the occasion.
