Safe and Secure Amdavad project equipped with 6,000 CCTVs for Traffic Surveillance
Safe and Secure Ahmedabad project launched by AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation with 6,000 CCTVs to eye on Vehicular Traffic in Ahmedabad.
Safety of commuters will be enhanced through Rs 310 crores worth of project.
Ahmedabad will be equipped with CCTV installation in phased manner for better surveillance. In first phase, 1,000 CCTVs will be installed and in due course of 3 months. All 6,000 CCTVs will installed from Entry Point to Exit Point on the road.
For Traffic Surveillance purpose a Control Room spreading over 2300 square meter is setup at Paldi Cross Road in Ahmedabad. It is a 4 storey Control Room in the centre of city. Cost of the Control Room comes to Rs 9.16 crores. Rs 239 crores have been spent on IT Infrastructure.
The Traffic Control Room was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Ahmedabad Mayor Gautam Shah, Standing Committee Chairman Pravin Patel and AMC Commissioner Mukesh Kumar were also present at the opening event.
Control Room will able to monitor situation of Traffic Jam, accident water logging or any such incident on road.
