RDB, Surjeet shared his experience of how he took up challenge of giving hit song Sadi Gali.. composed by him and sung by a Punjabi singer in Gujarati accents. First song Meri Gali Aaya Karo was a big hit.
RDB said I did know Gujarati, so I contacted Dilbaug Singh who had Gujarat connecton as he used to do programs in Gujarat on Dandiya etc. RDB wrote the song at 9 pm in eveining and sent it to Dilbaug by waking him up at 5 am in UK. Dilbaug firstly said that he will give song in 1-2 days but RDB, Chauhan said that this song has to be done in 1-2 hours only. Dilbaug was surprised to see last 2 stanzas written in Dandiya style. Dilabug again make a friend wake up in night at 2-2.30 pm and asked about accents of Dandiya.
Finally Dilabaug sung a song for Dandiya style Sadi Gali song in just 2-3 hours and the song is another hit.
A new Gujarati-Punjabi version of RDB’s Punjabi song “Sadi Gali”, this new song is sung by NS Chauhan & Dilbagh Singh and has music by SurjRDB.
