As a proactive step by Gujarat government today in Ahmedabad, two sadhvi PranPriya and PriyaTatva administrator of Swami Nityanand Ashram arrested by police in case of abuse of minor girls.
Now Ashram authorities will have to get a certificate for Ashram from state government issue by Child Welfare Officer. Police will further clarify in the matter. Case against Ashram will be lodged as per section 42 of Juvenile Justice Act 2015, which has provision of 1 year of jail and 1 lakh penalty. CWC Child Welfare Commission has submitted its report to police.
Licensing of Ashram will be intensified by the government and action against those Ashram or organisation will be taken who do not have a license from the authority.
