Today,It was informed by Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien that request of Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar’s leave application was granted due to personal reasons and emergencies. Recently, objecions were raised over Sachin and Rekha remaining absent for a long period from Rajya Sabha.
Kurien said members were not supposed to discuss applications seeking leave. It is the job of the chair to enquire why they were absent. So many members remain absent.Finally, Rajya Sabha granted leave to Tendulkar.
