Red heat alert has been given in Ahmedabad for next five days. During this summer temperature can go above 45 degrees Celsius. A heat action plan has also been prepared by AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for this purpose. Accordingly, no work will be done at construction site during afternoon time. Apart from this, water bottles and buttermilk will be distributed. Also, AMC has appealed to people not to go out without essential work.
Public gardens will remain open till late night and water fountains will be kept on to provide relief from scorching heat.
