Ranip Police Station’s new complex inaugurated by home minister Rajni Patel

Today, Ranip police station building will be inaugurated by Gujarat home minister Rajni Patel and police commissioner Shivanand Jha. Till now the Ranip police staff were placed at a police chowkey near  RTO Circle. The police station is located besides the AMC civic centre in Ranip. The new police station has 19 rooms including visitors’ room. The complex has a built up area of 894 sq m and has been constructed by Police Housing Corporation at a cost of Rs 1.39 crores. Ranip police station will have jurisdiction of 11.5 km and cover area between Chandrabhaga Bridge and Subhash Bridge, Keshavnagar Railway track to Sabarmati Central Jail and GST Crossing to Ranip Circle.  Similarly, Chandkheda police station is situated in a private society and faces serious logistics issues.
