Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has decided to beef up a little for a more real portrayal of Sanjay Dutt’s character in an upcoming film.Bollywood’s chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor who has been dazzling the Bollywood industry with his versatile acting is all set for his role in Rajkumar Hirani’s next film. He will be playing the role of Sanjay Dutt himself. Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is a heartthrob of many girls. His female fan following has been a dedicated lot, ever since his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ in 2007.
Ranbir is trying to match Sanjay Dutt’s physique and thus has been asked to put few extra kilos on as per the character’s requirement in the biopic. Ranbir does look similar to how Sanjay Dutt was in his Rocky days, but after the actor got over his drug problem, he took to body building in a big way and that is where Ranbir will have to put in the effort. Director Rajkumar Hirani says, “Ranbir is more than excited to put some weight on for the role and he believes that the heartthrob Kapoor can pull this tough, strong and intense role off very well. It wasn’t necessary that we have to find an actor who resembles Sanju. Still, you look at Sanju’s picture from Rocky (1981) days and Ranbir’s. They both have a similar ‘stardom’ on their face.”
The work on the film’s script has been on for the last six-seven months, and Director Rajukumar Hirani tells us that the story’s has started to take shape now. But to see Ranbir in an intense role and that too playing Sanju baba on screen will surely be a delectable treat to the eyes.
