Rajkot DySP JM Bharwad was caught in Rajkot ACB Anti Corrution Bureau trap accepting a bribe of Rs 8 lakhs for not beating accused in Jetpur. The Accused was arrested in arms case and DySP had demanded a bribe of Rs 10 lakhs from him. Two days back Bharwad was released on anticipatory bail from Supreme Court and appeared before ACB Rajkot for recording his statement.
Earlier Gujarat high court had turned down bail plea of Bharwad and he was declared as Absconder by Dhoraji Sessions Court.
Police constable Vishal Sonara was caught taking a bribe on behalf of DySP Bharwad by ACB.
