Yesterday evening, incident of big fire was reported in Rajkot city. Ramdhan Gaushala caught big fire in Maudi area. Reason for the fire is said to be Chinese baloon. Fire is continued for more than 14 hours, with partial control over fire, as reported by fire officials. Complete extinguish of fire might be possible till today evening. This is the biggest fire in the history of Rajkot city. Fire fighters emptied a godwon with the help of JCB machine. Estimate of damage due to fire is Rs 1.50 crore.
Despite of ban on Chinese baloon during uttarayan, use of Chinese ban continued. Many incidents of fire due to Chinese baloon were reported in Vadodara, Rajkot and Ahmedabad. In Ahmedabad, fire was reported at 6places and 11,000 Chinese baloons were recovered by Police.
