Rajkot: 5 arrested in murder of Dalit Man on instructions from factory owner
In Shapar of Rajkot, an incident of 30 year old Dalit man beaten by stick to death on instructions from factory owner of Radadiya Industries. Despite his pleads, that one can hear, he is continuously beaten up. The victim rag picker died during treatment in Civil Hospital. Victim has been identified as Mukesh Vaniya. Owners suspected him to be stealing when he and his wife work in factory. An FIR was lodged under section IPC 302 in the case against four persons have been detained in relation with the incident. Chirag Vora, Jaysukh Radadiya (owner of the company), Divyesh Vora and Tejas Zala were arrested by Rajkot rural police.
Police arrested 5 persons has come to light. The incident was captured on camera.
Victim’s wife was also beaten as per reports.
Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani today spoke against the brutal attack on the Dalit man. “Mukesh Vaniya belonging to a scheduled caste was miserably beaten and murdered by owners in Rajkot and his wife was brutally beaten up,” he tweeted, Mevani also said that Gujarat was not safe for Dalits.
Rajkot Court grants 4 days of remand to all accused for further investigation.
