Today in Rajkot, news of 11 senior citizens turning blind after having operated for cataract operation at Sadhu Vasvani Hopsital near Junction Police Chowki at Gayakwadi 9. Patients relatives rushed to hospital and doctor with complaint of having patient turned blind. Procedure to lodged complaint with Police and Collector is on. Local corporator and relatives are raising complaint with hospital management, as per sources. MNP team has reached the hospital. 25 out of 11 patients were affected.
Investigation is on whether pre or post operation medicine was with expiry date.
