Actress Priyanka Chopra will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation’s Best Actress of the Year Award. This will be Priyanka’s second award from the Foundation after she received her first one for ‘Most Memorable Performance’ in 2011 for her role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saath Khoon Maaf. The Dadasaheb Film Foundation will honour the 33-year-old actress with the Best Actress of the Year Award on the 147th Dadasaheb Phalke Jayanti. The ceremony will be held in Mumbai on April 24.
Priyanka made her debut in Bollywood with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy in 2003. The film also starred actors Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. In the same year, she also starred in Andaaz, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta. Priyanka also featured in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitraaz, Don, Fashion, Dostana, Agneepath, Barfi!, Mary Kom and Bajirao Mastani. In 2015, she made her television debut with American thriller series Quantico in which she plays the lead role of Alex Parrish. Priyanka will soon make her debut in Hollywood with Baywatch co-starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
