Ahmedabad, 06thJanuary, 2025: Prin MC Shah Commerce College, which is part of Navgujarat Group of Colleges, recently observed Indian Cultural Day as part of the institute’s Winter Day Celebration. Some 150 students of the college participated in the four-day celebration organised under the guidance of Principal, Dr ND Shah and Prof DB Bandhiya, Chairman, Student Union Committee, and the support of the College Cultural Committee and staff members.
As part of the celebrations, students, faculty and staff members of the institute celebrate the rich diversity of Indian culture, by dressing in the local, traditional attire of their home state or a specific culture of their choice. Students from the college showed up in traditional Rajasthani, Marathi, Gujarati, South Indian and Bengali attire, and represented their native or preferred region and its culture.
This celebration marks the beginning of four days of Winter Day Celebrations, offering students a welcome break from their regular academic routines.
The idea behind Winter Day Celebrations at Prin MC Shah Commerce College, is to spread awareness about Indian culture and foster a sense of harmony by knowing, accepting and celebrating diverse traditions. Over the subsequent four days, the Winter Day Celebrations will include Traditional Dress Day and Garba, Mimicry and Executive Day and Group Day with Dance.
