Prime Volleyball League Winner Ahmedabad Defenders to Represent India in World Club Championship

Champion Ahmedabad Defenders Visit Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, 12th March-2023: Prime Volleyball League is India’s largest private volleyball league with multiple franchises and baselines. Jointly owned by Ventures Pvt Limited. A total of 8 teams participated in Prime Volleyball League, with matches played in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi. The league started on 4th February and ended on 5th March 2023. Other franchises participating in the league include Bengaluru, Chennai, Calicut, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai. Team Ahmedabad Defenders finished runners-up in the inaugural season of 2021-22 when Ahmedabad Defenders won Prime Volleyball League for the first time by defeating Bengaluru Torpedos with 3-2 score in the grand finale played at Kochi in the recently concluded season.


Champion Ahmedabad Defenders team was guest of Ahmedabad. Prime Volleyball League CEO Joy Bhattacharya said, “We are happy to come to Ahmedabad today and announce that Ahmedabad Defenders team will represent India in the World Club Championship to be played in the month of December. Prime Volleyball League has played an important role in creating awareness about Volleyball across India and it is a matter of great pride to lead the team in the World Club Championship which is an initiative of our preparations for the Olympics.”
