Today, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi was at Convocation Program at All India Institute of Medical Sciences ,AIIMS in Delhi. Students of AIIMS were presented with lifetime achievement awards to eminent professionals in medical science and gave prizes to meritorious students.
Prime Minister extended best wishes to the students for their endeavours in the coming years and said I was never a good student. PM added that I am sure society will gain from their work and we would achieve our dream for a ‘Healthy India.’ Need of the hour is to increase medical research so that we can keep pace with the fast-changing world. Urged the young doctors to work towards achieving a higher number of publications in scientific journals. PM also said that during such convocations we should invite children from poor backgrounds as ‘special guests’ The children would feel very inspired and it would become a great source of strength for them.
