President of India Ram Nath Kovind meets Organ Donors in Surat

Today President of India Ram Nath Kovind addressed 49th convocation of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat.

President said a primary objective of education is to promote freedom and innovation in thinking. He gave away awards to students. He was happy to note that business community in Surat is very supportive of philanthropic and social welfare efforts.

While in Surat, President conferred upon Awards to dignitaries and distinguished personalities including former ISRO Chairman Kiran Kumar and Kailash Satyarthi a Nobel Laureate.

During other programs in the city, he felicitated family members of cadaver organ donors in Surat; urges educational and medical institutions to motivate society towards organ donation.

He was accomapined by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Gujarat Governor OP Kohli, state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma, Kishor Kanani,MP CR Patil.
