Pravin Togadia to appear before Ahmedabad Metro Court in 21 years old case
Ahmedabad Court has issued non bailable warrants against 39 BJP leaders including Pravin Togadia of VHP and Babu Jamna Patel in connection with 1996 murder case at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. BJP leader Atmaram was attacked to death in the case.
After 21 years the case has come up for hearing.
Today Pravin Togadia will appear before Ahmedabad Court at 2 pm.
Togadia while talking to media said that I come to Gujarat quite often and stay here for about 10 days. When I am in Gujarat, I am escorted by police. To deliver warrant is a responsibility of police. The police escorting me during Gujarat visit and unable to deliver warrant to me and court is issuing non-bailable warrant means that somebody is interested in troubling me.
21 years old case against me is a politically motivated case which is still not closed shows someone’s wasted interest in continuing the case.
Ahmedabad Court cancelled non-bailable warrant against Minesh Vaghela, Jayendrasinh Vaghela, Kurshanvandan Brahmbhatt and Mukund Joshi.
