The Mumbai police on Tuesday booked Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh for abetment to suicide of the TV actor. The 24-year-old former “Balika Vadhu” star was found dead at her home on April 1, in a suspected case of suicide due to stress in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.Rahul Raj Singh was admitted to Shree Sai Hospital in suburban Kandivali on Sunday after he complained of chest pain and low blood pressure.
An FIR has been lodged against Rahul by the Mumbai Police. According to reports, there is enough evidence against the actor-producer for the police to book him. Rahul’s father and sister have urged Pratyusha’s friends and everyone in general to pray for Pratyusha’s soul instead of making allegations. Rahul was shifted to general ward from ICU on Monday, his lawyer Neeraj Gupta said. “Though Rahul has been shifted to general ward, his condition is still not proper as he is in trauma,” he said. Police said they will question Rahul after he is discharged.
