Tomorrow on 17th August, his holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj will be given last rites and rituals will be performed at Swaminarayan temple in Sarangpur of Botad. Pramukh Swami will be cremated in front of his Guruji and lord Swaminarayan as per his last wish. In Swaminarayan temple premises in front of Shahstriji Maharaj and lord Swaminarayan. The place where Swamiji will be cremated is round in shape. It is in front of the temple. Entire cremation ceremony will be performed as per Hindu religious and Vedic traditions. Shlokas will be chanted as per Vedic tradition before cremation. Body of Pramukh Swami will be cleanised using Panchamrut made up of milk, curd, homey, sugar and ghee. Body with be washed with water and dressed up in a cloth. Chief Saint and other saints will get Pramukh Swami bath, some saints will touch his feet and Swamiji will be offered Ganga Jal. Lastly Aarti will performed and devotees will take Darshan. Pyre of Pramukh Swami will be lit from mouth using sandalwood and ghee.
Pramukh Swami will be cremated by chief saint of BAPS and doctor swami.
